Fun Day is one of our favorite Lincoln Douglas traditions, and a day our students and staff look forward to all year! Held near the end of the school year, it’s a chance to celebrate all of their hard work, accomplishments, and another great year together.
The PTO works throughout the year to make Fun Day a memorable experience for every Lincoln Douglas student. A significant portion of the funds we raise goes toward providing a full day of activities, treats, and entertainment at no cost to our families.
Every Fun Day is a little different, but past celebrations have included bounce houses and inflatable games, yard games, yoga, art, theater, TCBY, popcorn, soda, and more. Students enjoy Fun Day with their grade levels during designated K–2 and 3–5 sessions, giving everyone plenty of time to participate in the activities and celebrate with their classmates and teachers.
Fun Day is also one of our largest volunteer events of the year. It takes many parents and caregivers working alongside the PTO and school staff to run activities and help make the day possible.
Volunteer opportunities are available during both the K–2 and 3–5 sessions. Because Fun Day is a school-day event, parent attendance is limited to those who have signed up to volunteer.
When volunteer sign-ups open in the spring, we'll share all the details here.
